"It's the powers that are going to be given to this entirely unelected government that are so frightening."
"The aim is to give a new as yet unnamed U.N. body the power to directly intervene in the financial, economic, tax and environmental affairs of all the nations that sign the Copenhagen treaty."

Sanoja demokratia, vaalit tai äänestys ei mainita sopimuksen sivuilla kertaakaan.
Monet alkavat ymmärtää tämän. Samaan aikaan myös maailmanloppuskenaarioiden takana olevat vedätykset, tieteelliset vääristelyt ja poliitikkojen liioittelut tulevat useamman tietoisuuteen. Aivan viime kuukausina maailman medioissa on alkanut näkyä enenemässä määrin tervettä skeptisyyttä kun auktoriteettiasemaan perustuvia väitteitä tieteellisestä yksimielisyydestä ilmastonmuutoksen suhteen on alettu kyseenalaistaa.
Vertaisarvioitujen tutkimusten tasainen virta, havaitut lämpötilat ja tutkijoiden sinnikyys ovat vihdoin saaneet yhä useammat tunnustamaan, että ilmastonmuutoskeskustelu ei olekaan ohi. Ehkä journalistit ovat huomanneet saman ilmiön kuin ilmastofyysikko James A. Peden viime vuonna: "Many [scientists] are now searching for a way to back out quietly [from promoting warming fears], without having their professional careers ruined.”
BBC, 9.10.2009: What happened to global warming?
BBC:n uutisten ilmastotoimittaja kirjoittaa:
"For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures."
"In the last few years [the Pacific Ocean] has been losing its warmth and has recently started to cool down."
Vaikka hiilidioksidin määrä ilmakehässä kasvaa edelleen, maapallon lämpötila on silti laskenut. Kaikki IPCC:n käyttämät tietokonemallit ennustivat lämpötilan kiihtyvää nousua, mutta lämpötila onkin laskenut. Koko ilmastokatastrofi on perusteltu näillä samoilla tietokonemalleilla. Juttu päättyy toteamukseen:
"One thing is for sure. It seems the debate about what is causing global warming is far from over."
NewScientist, 4.9.2009: World's climate could cool first, warm later
Viimekuisessa YK:n ilmastokokouksessa Genevessä saksalainen Mojib Latif (johon myös Helsingin yliopiston professori Atte Korhola viittaa kirjoituksessaan...) ennusti ilmaston kylmenevän seuraavina vuosina ja kyseenalaisti myös hiilidioksidin osuuden ensisijaisena ilmaston lämmittäjänä:
"Forecasts of climate change are about to go seriously out of kilter." [out of kilter = not working well, out of order]
"People will say this is global warming disappearing."
"NAO [ocean] cycles were probably responsible for some of the strong global warming seen in the past three decades."
"Model biases are also still a serious problem. We have a long way to go to get them right."
Brittiläisen The Sunday Timesin nelos-osan etusivu näytti 11.10.2009 tältä: 11.10.2009: Why everything you think you know about global warming is wrong.
"So not only is carbon dioxide plainly not poisonous, but changes in carbon dioxide levels don't necessarily mirror human activity. Nor does atmospheric carbon dioxide warm the earth: ice-cap evidence shows that over the past several hundred thousand years, carbon dioxide levels have risen after a rise in temperature, not the other way around."
Britannian toiseksi myydyin päivittäinen uutislehti Daily Mail, 14.10.2009: How freezing temperatures are starting to shatter climate change theory.
"All blows a rather large hole in the argument that the earth is hurtling towards an inescapable heat death prompted by man's abuse of the environment."
"The [recently seen] development seemed to support the view of climate change cynics who claimed global warming was simply a natural cycle and not caused by man."
The Daily Telegraph, 25.10.2009: The real climate change catastrophe
Telegraph kirjoittaa artikkelissaan mahdollisten "päästövähennyksien" huikeiden ihmisille koituvien kustannusten olevan se todellinen ilmastokatastrofi.
"By any measure, the supposed menace of global warming – and the political response to it – has become one of the overwhelmingly urgent issues of our time. If one accepts the thesis that the planet faces a threat unprecedented in history, the implications are mind-boggling. But equally mind-boggling now are the implications of the price we are being asked to pay by our politicians to meet that threat. More than ever, it is a matter of the highest priority that we should know whether or not the assumptions on which the politicians base their proposals are founded on properly sound science."
"From the start, the purpose of the IPCC was not to test the [global warming] theory, but to provide the most plausible case for promoting it."

Toivottavasti media kyseenalaistaisi jatkossa myös maailman poliittisten johtajien ajamat toimet "ihmiskunnan pelastamiseksi".
Barack Obama, 23.9.2009, YK:n yleiskokouksessa: "The danger posed by climate change cannot be denied! If we continue down the current course every member of this assembly will see irreversible changes within their borders!"
Gordon Brown, 19.10.2009, tiedotustilaisuudessaan: "We have 50 days to save the planet!"
70-luvulla "ilmastotietelijät" varoittivat ihmisen aiheuttamasta Global Coolingista. Syynä tähän olivat auringon lämpöä avaruuteen heijastavat ilmansaasteet, maataloudesta syntyvä pöly, pilviä lisäävät lentokoneiden pakokaasut, metsien hakkuut, aavikoituminen jne. Antarktiksen jäätikkö kasvaisi niin nopeasti että se lopulta syöksyisi mereen ja aiheuttaisi valtavan tsunamin. [Global Ecology, by John P. Holdren & Paul R. Ehrlich, 1971, sivu 76]
Näitä uhkia vastaan olisi siis tarvittu aivan samoja toimia kuin tänäänkin nykyistä lämpenemistä vastaan: teollisuutta säänneltävä valtavasti, ihmisten liikkumista säännettävä, mutta tärkeimpänä: globaaleja, valtaa keskittäviä, ylivaltiollisia valtarakenteita olisi luotava. Joulukuiseen Kööpenhaminan kokoukseen valmisteltu sopimus kuulemma esittää maailmanlaajuisen hallituksen luomista. Se säätelisi ja koordinoisi ilmaston lämpenemisen vaativia toimia jokaisen valtion osalta.
